June 2026 Tournament

June is in the books as we concluded our one-day tournament on Lake Nacogdoches. After heavy considerations this week due to weather and rising lake levels, those that made it out did not disappoint at weigh in including Shane with the year’s largest so far at 9.75. Congrats to all the winners as all anglers caught fish and dealt with the extreme weather conditions from monsoon pour downs to blistering hot sunny skies all in one day of fishing. Some interesting tidbits observed during this tournament…..Our Tour. Dir. shows up in a new Skeeter, second time on the water. Now mind you he’s a season angler and boat operator. From those on hand, this was apparently the ramp activity witnessed. Picture the scene 8 o’clock in the morning raining like mad. John Morse backs Tad Kresta into the lake in his brand spanking new Skeeter.  Tad, who by the way has been fishing for years and been a boat owner for years, and who professionally is managing millions of dollars of property goes to start his brand new boat.  He turned the key nothing happens. He turns the key again and nothing happens. Look on his face is bewilderment and frustration, his brand new boat isn’t operating.  Clay and Rori are looking on, John Morse gets out of the truck to see if he can help.  Rori, who is always helpful and genuinely all-around nice guy holds up his own kills witch cable and says very loud is your kill switch cable connected.  Todd gets out of the Capt. seat goes to a front compartment pulls out his life vest, and says it’s still connected to my life vest.  He plugged in the kill switch cable, and the boat starts perfectly.  Tad with a big smile fishes happily ever after.  Seems there may be training program needed here, something the club may undertake in the future.  On to July, tight lines.

May 2026 Tournament

As 2026 pushes along, so does our monthly tournament schedule as we closed out our May tournament this past weekend on Belton Lake. Plenty of wind to go around both days but some of the anglers still managed to catch their limits and everyone found fish. Congrats to Neil for pulling out the win for the weekend. Thanks to all that came out and participated. See you guys’ next month for our June tournament on the combo lakes of Lake Waco and Trading house. Keep your hooks sharp

April 2026 Tournament

Thank you again to all the anglers who came out and participated in our April tournament on Houston County Lake. For a one-day tournaments, it seemed we had weather from every season hit us after the cold front blew through on Saturday a little earlier than predicted. Congrats to Cliff Porter for an astonishing performance and new Big Bass leader with a one-day total just shy of 21 pounds! We look forward to doing it again in May on Belton. See you all there.

March 2026 Tournament

Our March Club tournament is in the books and Lake o the Pines had some overall good weather for us this weekend. Aside from a little wind here and there, the conditions put forth some nice results. I’m happy to say out of the 10 anglers who came out to participate, everyone caught fish. Congrats to the leaders, Cole Mitchell, Patrick Fox, Tad Kresta, and Aaron Fox! We’re looking forward to our next outing at Houston County next month.

February 2026 Tournament

Well our first tournament is in the books after battling the wind for the past couple of days on Lake Conroe. Thank you all for coming out to fish, as the bite was better for some, more than others. Special congrats to Rori Marston for finding a Pig!
